Spotlights
We have arrived! Travel Day and Day 1. After 30 hours of travel we finally made it to Guanghouz, China.
The travel was not too bad, we all had our own individual tv with movies, games, tv shows and music. Our 14 hour flight was so nice that none of us slept. Our 4 hour layover in Beijing was fun we met some nice children that laughed at us when we tried to speak Chinese and Noel had some interesting food for dinner - we are not sure what it was, it resembled some fatty substance.
This is our first full day in Guanghouz. It has been quite an experience, the people here are unbelievably nice and helpful - however, they cannot speak a lick of English. We went to this electronic "town" and made some good finds! They love to negotiate!! Our dinner was pretty interesting, they gave us the "English" menu to order from. This was an 18"x 22" book with pictures of all the food. It consisted of things like whole pigeons, chicken feet, frog legs and pig kidneys. I know I said I wanted to be adventurous and try different things, after seeing the pictures I just couldn't do it. We are back in the room now making plans for tomorrow, we are planning to see some temples and shop at the street markets. Sunday we will be traveling to Sophia's region, we will meet her on Monday around 3:00 - we are counting down the hours!

It was so wonderful to see all of you on-line this morning! Kim you are doing a wonderful job with her, keep up the great work and sleep when she's sleeping to keep up your strength.
I asked a friend who also adopted about her first day and she said the best advise is to hold & cuddle her as much as possible and if she's crying to take her outside to see the sites. She said that within a few days she will start bonding.
I love you guys and will talk to you soon!

Interesting cuisine. Noel needs a little fat on him anyways! I saw your photos in the album. Very nice looking place you're staying at.
If Noel's Chinese is anything like his French, I'd be laughing too!
Looking forward to your next post. Take care!
