We have been home for 2 months now. Since Sophie has joined our family she has really grown and blossomed. Sophie is walking, laughing out loud, very social and extremely happy. She fits our family and personalities perfectly. We have been truly blessed!

Day 11 - Monday – The wild adventure. Things have gone pretty smooth in China up until Monday……….

Day 10 -Sunday- Lotus Mountain. Sunday was reserved for more sightseeing.

Day 8 - Friday was a day of travel
Day 9 - Saturday – Sophie’s medical exam and hitting the town in Guangzhou. -
Sophie and Family are Doing Great! Day 9 - 11 Tuesday at 11:00 am (11:00pm Monday night in Michigan) We have been very busy over the last few days with no internet access. Sophie is doing great! She is adjusting very well to Mommy, Gandma and Daddy!

Day 6 and 7- Each day is getting easier, Sophie is really getting to know us. She wakes up with a smile and is ready for the day.

We are officially parents! Tuesday at 2:00pm (Tuesday morning at 2:00am in Michigan). We spent the morning at the China Affairs Bureau and It’s official! -
Kim and I received Sophie! Monday at 6:30 pm (6:30 am Monday morning in Michigan) - We received Sophie in our room! She is beautiful!

It's "Gotcha Day" her in China!! The sun is shinning and it's a beautiful day to get a baby!!

Day 2 and 3. Sightseeing in Guangzhou and flew to Changsha (Sophies region).

We have arrived! Travel Day and Day 1. After 30 hours of travel we finally made it to Guanghouz, China.The travel was not too bad, we all had our own individual tv with movies, games, tv shows and music. Our 14 hour flight was so nice that none of us slept. -
Itinerary for China: We just received our itinerary for our trip - "Gotcha" day is on March 9th. For those of you not familiar with this term, this is the day we meet Sophia and she will be with us everyday from this point forward.

We are leaving March 4th to pick up Sophie and will return as a family on March 20th. The flight there will be extremely long on the way there (30 hours). The trip home will be more manageable at 20 hours. We are so excited, we can't wait.

WE'RE GOING TO CHINA! We just received notification that we need to be in China March 7th. Noel is in the process of making travel arrangements - we will keep you posted.

Traveling soon?? We could be traveling to China in the near future. Our Travel Approval was received by our adoption agency late last week. This means the agency applies for a Consulate appointment (happening now) and China has 5 days to confirm the date then our travel plans can be made. We may know our travel date by the end of the week. Yeah!!

Estimated Travel Time: As luck would have it, our trip has been delayed by a month. It looks like we will be traveling the second week of March.

The Latest Growth Report (rec'd 1/14/09) Surprise! We received the Latest Growth Report on Sophie. We were so excited to see how much she has grown! It looks like she really likes food - just like her mommy!
