Spotlights

On Day 6 we went to the Silk Factory, this is what her region is known for. We watched the Chinese ladies embroider pictures on large silk backgrounds. After the Silk Factory we went out for a little walk. It was a little chilly so we put Sophie in her snow suite, she loved it. The babies here are really bundeled up and all of their clothing is thick and quilted. They are so cute! When we are out all the Chinese people (both men and women) come up to see the baby, they love children here.

On Day 7 Sophie woke up with a big happy smile on her face and was ready to play with both mom and dad. We showed her a picture album with pictures of her cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpa. She has been very active today, bouncing around and kicking her feet  and talking - it's AWSOME! She even said mama today. Sophie is napping right now and Grandma and I are going to get our hair styled and as part of the package they also massage our head, neck, shoulders, upper back and hands - all for only $10.00. We love this place!!

I SHOULD BE THERE!!! Sorry I missed your Skype last night - I missed you by 5 minutes. I am anxious for the next week to fly by. Every time I look at Sophie I get a happy tear in my eye. She looks so perfect. I'm actually beginning to see a resemblance to Kim and Noel in her looks - she is such a beautiful baby. I can't wait to see how Luke and Sophie will react to one another, I know Cole will love her right away. I'll be heading home from Grand Rapids in a couple of hours. Bevie - I sure miss you more than words can say. One more week is too long! My deepest Love to all of you...
Grandpa Pat
I just knew it wouldn't take long for little Sophie to come to love her mommy and daddy! I look at all the pics and just can't wait to be able to kiss her! She is just so beautiful! I wish they had this when we went to Romania. It is so special to be able to follow all of you around! Remember, this was God's plan all along for you to have Sophie. We may not see it in the beginning, but when you look back on things you will understand God's plans he has for you. HE is amazing and so is SOPHIE! What a blessing! Love you all!

Oh Kim and Noel I am so happy for you. You know, I cried ( yes, again!) when I read that Sophie said mama! :) P.S. What size clothese is she wearing?

It is wonderful to follow along with you guys. Sophie looks likes she's really getting comfortable. Kim you seem like a natural. Noel, I'm so glad she's taking to both of you. What a blessing! Bev, have you tried a full body message? They are also inexpensive and soooo wonderful. I can't wait to see you all when you return. Reading your posts brings back so many wonderful memories. All our love...
