Spotlights
Today the adoption is offical, we met at the US Consulate and all adopted babys were sworn in. It was a real small group of 8 familys- unfortunately, we could not bring cameras or video into the room during the ceremony. Noel and I both had tears in our eyes - it is an awesome feeling! All the legal documents are complete and now it is time to see the country. We left the consulate and went directly to the airport (with a quick stop at McDonalds - that was the best meal I have had in a long time) soon we will be in Beijing.

It was so good to read more about how everything is going. It sounds as if, apart from a few bumps in the road, you've had a positive experience in China with a wonderful daughter who is now officially yours! My heart has been with you every day. Bev, I can't wait to hear all about your experience, too, being there as grandma. I look forward to meeting Sophie (and for her to meet her 3rd cousins, Will and Emily). She has Chinese relatives!!!
All our love.
